World Trade Center.   The 911 Attack.   September 11, 2001.   Within minutes, the Port of New York's maritime industry responed to save lives. Every ferry, tug boat, tour boat and other vessel headed to lower Manhattan and began evacuating thousands of survibors and others to safety across the Hudson River. The maritime community's sailors knew what had to be done and did it.   They were the Shining Light.   This is their story.
